As Salaamu Alaikum wa Ramatullahi Wabarakatuhu!
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Al Hamdulillah, I'm happy to announce to MANA readers and supporters that my major treatment for prostate cancer has been successfully completed. This has been a major milestone in my life and I thank Allah, Most High, for His purification, love and mercy. Likewise, it is through Allah's love and mercy that my treatment has been paid for with help from so many of you. The generous donations, acts of kindness, duas, and overall love shown to me and my family has been a true blessing and is deeply appreciated. Jazakallah khairan! Your highest reward is with Allah, Most High.
Many of you want to know how I'm feeling. This is an easy question to answer. Al Hamdulillah, I feel very good. I think I'm in very good condition and I actually feel more healthy now than I have in years. I'm exercising everyday, eating healthy and am more conscious of making the best choices for my health. I really feel I'm on the right track in terms of achieving and maintaining a lifestyle of wellness.
In terms of the efficacy of my treatment, my doctor has informed me that we are "right on target". Insha'Allah, after one month I will return for an evaluation, and again three months later for a full examination. With the full examination we will have a good idea of where things are, insha'Allah. I'm not completely out of the woods, but my doctor has cleared me to go back to work and I am already eagerly doing so.
In fact, I'll be at the ADAMS Center in the DC area in just a few minutes. If you're in the area please join me and my friend Dr. Jamal Badawi for dinner and a discussion on "Healing and Reconciliation" in the American Muslim community. This is an important conversation (and MANA initiative) that focuses on healing the historical differences within the American ummah. I feel very blessed to be able to continue doing work for Allah's pleasure, alongside great people like Dr. Badawi, and I look forward to this evening's event, which will get started soon, insha'Allah.
Once again, my family and I are forever grateful to Allah, Most High, for His countless mercies, and we are also grateful for your generous support. Please continue to make du'a for me and for all the believers who are facing health issues. I pray that we can all improve our health and take important steps to achieve and maintain holistic wellness in mind, body and spirit.
Jazakallah khairan!
Your brother in faith,

Imam Siraj Wahhaj
